Gavrila Grigoriev Serebrenikov (, Moscow 1754)

A Russian Baroque silver-gilt beaker, of tapering form, chased and embossed with scrolling stylized foliage in which three noble crowned cartouches with two bojars and a bojarina, spreading base. Gavrila Grigoriev Serebrevnikov, assayer Mikhail Bobrovshchikov, Moscow town mark 1754. Weight c. 196 g. H. 14 cm. Diam. 9 cm.

Provenance: The Danish Envoy and Consul General Hans Poul Hoffmeyer (1893–1962). Thence by descent with residence in Denmark, until today.
