Ephraim Ståhl, attributed (b. 1767, d. Stockholm 1820, attributed)

The sofa are made after design by the Stockholm chair-maker Ephraim Ståhl, (1767–1820). This type of seat furniture was made in the transition between the late Gustavian period and the Swedish Empire style. The design is predominantly Neoclassical. His furniture was in very high demand, and his workshop furnished numerous castles and manor houses with chairs and couches.
