A large regulator wall-clock in mahogany case carved with figures, the circular dial signed 'H.E. Holst efterfølger, Kjøbenhavn' (H.E. Holst successor, Copenhagen). C. 1900. H. 180 cm. W. 60 cm. D. 24 cm.

H. E. Holst's successors, Hans Liisberg. Royal Hof-Instrument-, Clock- and Chronometer-maker's company, founded in 1859 by Hans Edvard Holst (b. 1825, d. 1892) The business at Ny Østergade 2, Copenhagen, passed in 1881 to Hans Liisberg (b. 1860).

Provenance: ”House of Danske Bank” Antiques, art and design from Erichsen’s House and other historic buildings of Holmens Kanal, Copenhagen.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work. Pendulum and Two weights are enclosed.
