A good Danish (Norwegian?) officers sabre in its brass scabbard with a stirrup hilt, a grip in smooth ebony, a c. 86 cm. long single edged blade etched on one side with FR VI for Frederik VI of Denmark and on the other FOR KONGEN OG FÆDRELANDET - for King and Country. The brass scabbard is well preserved with to iron suspension rings.

Some small ebony chips are missing by the pommel. The blade is stained and spotted with a faint etched inscription.
