A Danish collection of Royal letters and photographs and postcards, primarily sent to a captain Pontoppidan:

Photographs of among others Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, Princess Marie of Denmark, King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine of Denmark, some with original signatures.

Letters and postcards, written in Danish, from among others Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia, Queen Alexandra of England, Duchess Thyra of Cumberland, Queen Alexandrine of Denmark, King Christian X of Denmark, Prince Harald of Denmark, Prince Gustav of Denmark, Crown Prince Frederik (IX) of Denmark and Prince Knud of Denmark. All with original signatures. Some with envelopes.

Furthermore two photographs in one frame, the one of King Frederik IX of Denmark, the other of the same in company with an artist. On the reverse four cards, written by the King, to the artist.

Primarily early 1910s, otherwise up to 1953. (Ca. 40)

One letter from Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna with the Danish note “burn it immediately”.

Condition

Minor wear due to age, including spots and creases.
