A Chinese inkstone of lead-coloured soapstone carved with bamboo and a cloud as reservoir, in fitted hungmu box adorned with branches and poetry about bamboo, plum, and the pine trees (the three companions of cold winter). Inscribed Zi Pei. L. 22 (25) cm W. 15 (17) cm.

Provenance: Ernest Krogh-Hansen, Norways Ambassador in China 1955–1960. His decendant.
