A Schleswig faience tray table-top, decorated in underglaze blue with flowers in basket, with Rococo trimming. 18th century second half. Set on a later grey painted wooden table on cabriole legs, apron with drawer and slide. Tray H. 5.5 cm. L. 79 cm. W. 53 cm. Table H. 82 cm. L. 81 cm. W. 55.5 cm.
Faience table trays were mainly used during the 1700s, where it became fashionable to drink coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
