A Danish iron mounted fully stocked converted target rifle by the well known maker Friederich Ostermann marked 1675 on both barrel and lock. The stock is of the typical 17th century thick type with some silver inlay by the cheek piece around a missing medallion. The lock with set trigger is marked FRIEDERICH OSTERMANN 1675 and the solid ca. 109 cm. long octagonal barrel in calibre c. 20 m. has 6 deep grooves and is marked with a makers mark in gold (Støckel 2645) as well as the year 1675, Friederich Ostermann worked according to Støckel in Copenhagen c. 1684–1719, but this rifle is earlier.

Ifølge Støckel arbejdede Friederich Ostermann i København ca. 1684–1719, men denne riffel er dateret tidligere.

Condition

The horn ending on the stock is missing. The iron is rusty and stained. A medallion is missing on the butt. The stock is repaired behind the lock plate. A screew is missing on the butt plate.
