A Japanese Imari porcelain bowl and cover, decorated in blue with bats and Buddhist symbols, the cover i colours and gold with landscapes within scrolling cartouches and ornamentation. Enclosed a more recent wooden base. The bowl Meiji 1868–1912. H. 15. Diam. 25 cm.
Nick to the rim of the bowl, dots inside. Pinholes. The cover with minor crack from the firing at the insde, crack at the rim and a minimal nick at the inner rim.
