Just Andersen, Swedish design (b. Godhavn, Greenland 1884, d. Glostrup 1943)

A pair of round, reddish brown and black bakelite candlesticks mounted on four-sided base. Made in Sweden, 1920–1930's. H. 10.5 cm. Inside diam. of candle holders 2.8 cm. A patinated “disko”-metal vase with eight-sided corpus and base. Marked monogram Just A., Denmark. Design no. 1932. H. 19.5 cm. Diam. max. 15.5 cm. (3)

Condition

Surface scratches and marks. Signs from age and use. Both candlesticks with light orange felt underneath, one with indistinct traces from pencil. Inside of vase with traces from use. Patina partly worn.
