A pair of 19th century Russian “style Égyptien” gilt and partly patinated bronze candlesticks, stems with tongues-out masks, nozzles cast with palmettos, octogonal bases. H. 34.5 cm. (2)
Provenance: The Danish seller's uncle, Olaf Rasmussen, who acquired the candlesticks in Russia, when he worked here for The Great Northern Telegraph Company in the 1930s.
