Arne Jacobsen, attributed (b. Copenhagen 1902, d. s.p. 1971)

Wall mirror. Solid elm frame with rounded corners and profile. Presumably designed and made to order 1933–1934. H. 86 cm. W. 68 cm. D. 5.5 cm.

In 1933–1934, Arne Jacobsen was in charge of the design of a nordic funkis villa and interior in Klampenborg, north of Copenhagen, for Novo founder Thorvald Petersen. Photos of the elm wood interior show a very similar triptych picture frame. We assume that the present mirror originates from the same interior.
