In 1933 Professor Kaare Klint designed his variation of the “Safari-chair” with special attention to design a simple and portable easy chair. He was inspired by an English officer's chair which he had seen in a travel book from Africa. Constructing a chair which could easily be disassembled and assembled without using any tools Klint maintained the field equipment purpose of the chair. Source: Rud. Rasmussen Cabinetmakers.
