In the series “Herbarium” the artist Ismar Cirkinagic have used a traditional method of plant classification but has focused on collecting plants from the massgraves of Yugoslavia. The series indicates a dark moment in european history but also a poetic circle of life and death wherein the plants above ground draws nutrition from the dead below. This Filices was harvested from a massgrave with 160 victims in Jakarina Kosa.
