JFK was born in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1917 as the son of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy and Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. He was the second child in a family of nine children. The Kennedys initially started their rise in America when the Irishman Patrick Kennedy emigrated from his impoverished island in 1848 - alongside thousands upon thousands of his countrymen.
This is an original black-and-white photograph from 1978, which shows normal signs of age and handling as well as minor damages on the front (upper edge) and the reverse. Furthermore remains of layout indication in the lower part of the picture.
