Salvador Dali officially joined the Surrealist movement in 1929, yet was later expelled from it. The final split with the group and its leader, French poet André Breton (1896–1966), occurred in 1939.
This is an original black-and-white silver gelatin press photograph from c. 1973, which appears with creased upper right corner and fine surface scratches. Back has yellowed slightly. Furthermore, normal handling signs.
