An original b/w silver gelatin press photograph of US President John F. Kennedy (1917–1963) during his speech in Frankfurt, West-Germany on June 25, 1963. Back with restriction stamp (‘This Picture May Not Be Used …'), agency stamp, stamped publication dates (June 26, 1963, August 10, 19.. (?)) as well as handwritten note. Double glazing and oak wood frame. Visible size 17×23 cm. Frame size 27×34 cm.

In June 1963 President John F. Kennedy spent four days in West Germany, also known as the Federal Republic of Germany, inaugurating a 10-day trip to Europe that also included visits to Ireland, England, and Italy. During the four days in Germany, the President visited several cities and towns, including Bonn, Cologne, Hanau, Frankfurt, and West Berlin - the latter being the scene of his famous 'Ich bin ein Berliner' speech (June 26, 1963), where 450,000 Germans gathered around him.

Condition

This is an original b/w silver gelatin press photograph from 1963, which shows two creased corners, pressure marks and some discolouration due to humidity/liquid (?).
