Provenance: Mr. H. H. Schou (1906). Manufacturer P. F. A. Thomsen's collection, his sale 1920 no. 114 reproduced p. 29 and as Ringsted Church. The collection of Consul General Johan Hansen, 1927 no. 1522, 1931 no. 1686. His auction Winkel & Magnussen 127, 1933, part VI, no. 173, reproduced p. 29.

The St. Michael's's church in Slagelse is located on the high church hill in the city center. It was built in the 14th century as a three-nave Gothic church, later tower, two porches and sacristy were added.

L. A. Schou was born in Slagelse.

Condition

Crackles and at lower edge a few minor scratches. Along the stretcher a mark and a few minimal pressuremarks. In need of a light surface cleaning.
