Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel's international breakthrough came in January 1966 with the album “Sounds of Silence”. In 1968 the duo launched “Bookends”, probably their best album ever. This contained songs like “Mrs. Robinson” and “America”. In 1969 “Bookends” was followed by the single “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.
