A Historicism and Old Norse style gold jewellery set, comprising of a shield-shaped brooch and a convex-shaped bangle each set with stylized Viking style filigree, mounted in 14k gold. Maker Fredrik Knoblich, Copenhagen 1833–1879. Diam. brooch app. 4.5 cm. Inner diam. bangle app. 4.5×5.8 cm. Weight in total app. 50.5 g. (2)
The ornamental filigree is of 15 to 18k gold. The design is inspired by the so-called Terslev buckles, which date from around year 1000 and were found in Southern Zealand. Accompanied by an original customized leather case.
