Back with agency stamp, handwritten layout instructions in red, handwritten notes as well as stamped publication dates (June 30, 1942, April 13, 1952, November 30, 1977). Double glazing and oak wood frame. Visible size 16×21 cm. Frame size 27×31 cm.
During Winston Churchill's stay in the United States from June 19–25, 1942, he and President Franklin D. Roosevelt agreed to launch 'Operation Torch', the Allied invasion of North Africa. At the same time, Roosevelt appointed General Dwight D. Eisenhower as commander-in-chief of all American forces in Europe. Another theme of the talks, known as 'The Second Washington Conference', was the desire to further support the Soviet war effort.
