Antonio Cetti (Italy 1762-Copenhagen 1835)

The Italian Antonio Cetti came to Denmark in 1797 and initially he provided for himself by displaying various optical curiosities at Dyrehavsbakken, an old amusement park in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Later he settled down as a maker of measuring instruments (barometers, thermometers) and gained in this capacity the fasvour of the royal court.
