CHURCHILL THEME
In the British general election of July 5, 1945, a few months after the end of World War II, Winston Churchill lost power to the Labour Party led by Clement Attlee (1883–1967). However, in October 1951, the Conservative Party regained the majority in the House of Commons, securing Churchill another term as Prime Minister. This ended in 1955.
This is an original b/w silver gelatin press photograph from 1951, which appears with a few surface cracks. In addition, surface scratches and general handling marks.
