“The Flag Halyard Chair”. Easy chair with original green lacquered steel frame with wooden shoes. Chromed steel top with flag halyard. Unoriginal headrest upholstered with grey fabric. Model GE 225. Designed 1950. This example manufactured 1950s by Getama.

The first versions of the flag halyard chair from 1950s were fitted with wooden shoes, later productions with shoes of black rubber or black plastic.

Model presented at The Arts & Crafts Spring Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1950.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Marks and scratches. Extensive rust on the frame. Flagline with defects.
