Augsburg silver-gilt fruit cutlery with handles of ivory, comprising six forks, six knives, six spoons and one small serving knife/spade. Various maker's, primarily Johan Georg Kröner and Balthasar Friedrich Stenglin's Workshop. First third of the 19th century. L. 17.5–19.5 cm. Fitted red maroquin box with gilt design.
Provenance: Descendants of King Frederik VIII of Denmark.
Wear due to age and use. Ivory yellowed and with cracks. Three knives with defect blade/handle mounts. One fork missing the handle silver end-piece, one fork with loose tine-head/handle mount, some tines askew. Box with defect lock-fitting, key not included.
