“Louis Seize, Roi des Français, Restaurateur de la Liberté” (1790) and “Marie Antoinette de Lorraine - D'Autriche, Reine de France” (1821). A pair of portraits of king Louis XVI (1754–1793) and queen Marie Antoinette (1755–1793). Inscribed in print Bervic and B'y [Barthélemy] Roger, respectively. Hand-coloured engravings. Plate sizes. 69×52 cm. (2).

The portraits are engraved from original works by Antoine Francois Callet and Rosseline Le Suedois, respectively.

Condition

The paper has turned slightly brown. Some minor stains, mostly outside of the plate edge. Examined in frame.
