The drawing was made in the same period as Willumsen was working on his masterpiece ”En bjergbestigerske”. There are quite a few studies of Edith in the mountains from these years. J. F. Willumsen married Edith Willumsen in January 1903, and this drawing was therefore made six months after they married.
Examined in frame. The paper has turned brown.
