Gilbert Taylor: An original black-and-white press or promotion photo of the the four Beatles members during the shoot of the movie “A Hard Day's Night” in London in the spring of 1964. Back stamped “A HARD DAY'S NIGHT”. Photo size 17.5×23.5 cm. Frame size 33×43 cm.
The movie “A Hard Day's Night”, released when the Beatlemania was on its highest, was directed by Richard Lester Liebman (b. 1932). He chose to shoot the scenes on location, that is in different London areas. He also chose to film in chronological order, something which - for various reasons - is very unusual. The shooting started on March 2nd at Marylebone Station and the opening night was July 30th 1964. In 1965 Richard Lester Liebman created “Help”.
Extremely rare. This is an original black-and-white press or promotion photo from 1964, which shows normal signs of handling. Lower right corner slightly damaged. Back with yellowed edges due to ageing.
