A Danish South Jutland silver “hovedvandsæg” vinaigrette, the interior with remains of gilding, set with 85 coloured glass stones, octagonal base with balm hide, pricked with owner's data H.R. L(or S)ajs. Maker Reimer Diedrich Dethlefsen, Sønderborg c. 1819–1836, the widow continues until 1860. Weight 82 g. H. 13 cm.

Wear due to age and use. The hinged cover slightly loose. A few glass stones with chips/replaced.
