A Royal Rococo style gilt bronze mantel clock with white enamel dial. Marked with the monogram of Frederik VIII and inventory number from Amalienborg Palace. Late 19th century. H. 54 cm. W. 45 cm. D. 21 cm.

Provenance: Acquired at Bruun Rasmussen auction 883, 2018 no. 338. Here sold as part of the estate after Her Highness Princess Elisabeth of Denmark (1935–2018).

Correction 24 June 2024: Original striking bell enclosed.

Condition

Minor wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work. Pendulum and winding key is enclosed. Pendulum suspension broken.
