Summer afternoon at the milking place at Knabstrup. 1874–1875. Unsigned. Inscribed on the back: “At professor P. C. Skovgaard arbejdede på dette billede lige til det sidste bevidnes. Joakim Skovgaard” (That P. C. Skovgaard worked on this picture to the last is testified by Joakim Skovgaard). Oil on canvas. 125×175 cm.
Exhibited: Kunstforeningens udstilling på Charlottenborg af P. C. Skovgaards arbejder i 100 året for hans fødsel, 1917 no. 421.
Provenance: The artist's estate auction in 1875 no. 42, sold to Mrs Anna Lund born Marstrand.
