Johan van Beverwijck (1594–1647) was an established physician in the Dutch town of Dordrecht. He became famous for his popular medical works which were published till far into the 18th century. His “Schat der Gesontheyt” is listed in The Canon of Dutch Litrature, a list of works of Dutch litereature culturally important to Dutch Heritage and is published in DBNL (The Digital Library for Dutch Litterature).
