A malachite veneer jewellery box, of rectangular form, on four perpendiculars feet with concave carvings, interior with mirror and purple silk. Presumably Ekaterinburg or St. Petersburg with malachite from the mines at Nizhny Tagil in Sverdlovsk Oblast. Russia, late 19th century. H. 8 cm. W. 17 cm. D. 11 cm. Key enclosed. (2).

Provenance: Baroness Molise Iuel-Brockdorff. The box was formerly situated at Valdemar's Castle.
