A Scandinavian Renaissance table spoon, gilded crown terminal with movable rings, shallow and almost circular bowl engraved with a ribbon. Indistinct maker's mark. Sweden or Norway, early-17th century. Weight 37 g. L. 11.5 cm.
Provenance: From the collection of supreme court litigator Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen (1911–1998).
Minor wear due to age and use, including some marks and scratches, primary on the reverse of the bowl. Furthermore worn gilding and reapir on the crown.
