A ball butted flintlock pistol from the Balkans with the ball inlaid with pewter surrounded by a double silver ring, the butt with the same decoration and inlaid silver wire which continues to the muzzle. An almost straight lock with flat forms held by two screws without underlay, a c 24 cm long octagonal barrel in calibre c 15 mm with a tughra on the left side. Apparently no trigger guard were ever present.

Condition

All iron dark and spotted. A piece of wood is missing beneath the lock and the stock has a crack between the lock screws. The action works.
