A rare, freestanding three seater sofa with round stained oak legs. Sides and curvy back upholstered with light wool, seat and buttons in back with light brown wool. This example made approx. 1938 by cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen. L. 210 cm.
The architects Hans Christian Hansen & Viggo S. Jørgensen designed some distinctly modernistic furniture pieces in the years 1935–38, very much in the style of Finn Juhl. Shortly after, both architects abandoned furniture design and devoted themselves to solely designing buildings.
