Russian bone shrine, needle cushion and a needle holder with a lid in the form of a thimble, the shrine furthermore decorated in colours. Russia, Kholmogory in the Archangelsk province before 1885. Bottuns etc. enclosed. Box L. 16 cm. W. 12 cm. H. 8 cm. Pillow H. 19 cm. (3).

Provenance: Brought to Denmark by Captain Johannes Myland (1844–1885), who lived in Munkebo and sailed on among others Russia. Thence by descents to Johannes Myland's great-granddaughter until today.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Scratches and marks.
