Hans Nicolaj Hansen (b. Copenhagen 1853, d. s.p. 1923)

Three persons in conversation at an eveningparty. Signed with monogram. On the back of the frame inscribed Hans Nik Hansen, Christinelund 1903. Oil on canvas laid on cardboard. 36×30 cm.

The artist married Ella Ruben daughter of Bernhard Ruben and Ida Susanne Ruben in 1900. The couple then moved to the country estate, Christinelund, in Præstø.

Condition

Minor crackles. In need of a light surface cleaning. Retouches and minimal pressuremark and at edge nailhole.
