Richly illustrated with engraved vignettes and 54 full page engravings. Bound in cont. full calf with gilt spine and the gilt crown of Frederick IV of Denmark, gilt decorations on boards and all edges gilt.

Museum Regium is a catalogue on the objects in the treasure chamber of the Danish King Christian V. The engravings which are considerably increased in this edition (the first edition contained 37 engravings) depict among other things the Golden Horns of Gallehus as well as zoologic monsters.

Provenance: With the book plate of Carl Juel (1706–1767), Valdemar's Castle, Tåsinge.
