Finn Juhl's charming two seater sofa, which became popular and well known through the Danish comic strip “Poeten og Lillemor” from 1950, is one of his most iconic pieces of furniture. At the Guild Exhibition in 1941 it was observed that “The materials and construction of the bows, which are also exhibited by the cabinetmakers, possess the beauty that the furniture lacks ...” The Poet received a mixed reception at the time, but in spite of this, the little chubby sofa attracted attention. Attention that most certainly has not diminished over the years.
