Provenance: The Selchausdal manor in the South of Zealand. The chest was bought around 1914 by the Chinese Consul General Hans Ove Lange (b. 1877- d. 1961) and has been in the family's ownership for three generations.
Normal wear due to age. Through going crack in the lid. Missing piece of wood in one corner of the lid. The stand not original but probably same age. Through going crack at the bottom of the chest. Locking stick is missing.
