Literature: Holger Hansen, “Meddelelser om slægten Klausman”, 1922, reproduced and mentioned p. 46: “About Frederik Klauman, baptised on the 24th of January 1748. Second lieutenant in the Regiment of Prince Frederik. [...] In Russian military service from 1771 and became rittmeister for the participation in the war against the Turks. [...] Joined the English East India Company and died in the East Indies in 1785.”

Condition

The canvas is relined. Retouches and crackles.
