Marion S. Trikosko (b. USA)
A signed b/w photograph of the future British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Lady Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher; 1925–2013) during a visit in The White House, Washington, D.C. on September 18, 1975. Photo size 25×20 cm. Frame size 42×32 cm.
When the present photograph was taken in 1975 Margaret Thatcher was not yet the leader of her country - that happened in 1979 - but it was clear to her surroundings that her political flair and often adament will potentially could bring her far.
The expression “The Iron Lady”, which started to appear in the media some years later, was not a domestic British invention. The nickname was created by the Soviet newspaper “Red Star”.
No remarks. This is an original b/w photograph with the authentic signature of the future British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Certificate of authenticity from JSA included. JSA is one of the most reputable authorities in the world in regards to valuation and authentication of signatures.
