The Mauritian/French-born artist Joël Bigaignon (b. 1968), now based in Copenhagen, works with painting as his preferred media. Bigaignon comes from a background as a graphical designer, but quickly moved on to drawings which soon developed into large-scale paintings. Bigaignon’s style is deeply rooted on his birthplace (Mauritius) where the main frame of his narrative is on equity and justice. His works can be recognized for the vivid use of colors and motifs.
Minor tear in the upper edge. It is believed to be in original condition.
The work is part of a charity auction to benefit “Børns Vilkår” (Children's Rights Denmark). The auction is initiated and curated by “Curated by Jens-Peter Brask”. The artists have generously donated their works. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers do not charge fees or commission so the total proceeds will go undiminished to Børns Vilkår's important work.
