A Royal Louis XVI style giltwood bergére. Early 20th century.
Provenance: King Christian X of Denmark (1870–1947) and Queen Alexandrine (1879–1952). The bergére was placed in The Garden Room in their home in Amalienborg Palace, Copenhagen (see b/w image). Later count Christian of Rosenborg, the royal couple's grandson; subsequently descendants of King Frederik VIII of Denmark.
