Two carved and gilded wood figures of Buddha and a monk. Buddha is seated at high throne, the monk is kneeling and decorated with sequins. Burma. 19th century. H. 51 and 23 cm. (2)

Buddha missing the Ushnisha, larger peelings on the reverse, affected by heat and crack to wood. The monk with split and chips. Wear due to age and use. Both figures with erosion to wood.
