A Danish brass mounted pistol by Johan Feige c 1740 with a beaked butt, a rounded lock marked JOHAN behind and FEIGE in front of the cock and COPENHAGEN beneath the brass lined pan, pierced side-plate with a dragon’s head, trigger with a vase final, c 25,5 cm long barrel in caliber c 15 mm. The fore stock ends in horn as does the wooden ramrod held by two fluted pipes.
Johan Feige worked in Copenhagen c 1716–1745 and was an apprentice of Heinrich Kappel.
The stock is cracked and all iron is rust marked.
