Three seater sofa of mahogany. Button fitted sides and back upholstered with grey wool. Manufactured and marked by Fritz Hansen, ca. 1930s. H. 74 cm. L. 184 cm. D. 81 cm.
The sofa is presumably made on recquest at Fritz Hansen ca. 1930s to a specific interior. The modernistic shape of the sofa brings to mind the designs of Arne Jacobsen and like-minded designers from the same era. It hasn't been possible, though, to find documentation for this.
The sofa is a restauration projecgt with extensive wear, including scratches, marks, notches and chips on legs. Seat cushion(s) missing. Furthermore it needs to be re-upholstered because of several holes and defects on fabric. The fabric under the sofa is as well with defects.
