A Russian peasant with hat and coat. Signed and dated V. Makovsky 1896 (in Cyrillic). Pencil on paper laid on paper. Sheet size 27.5×21 cm.

Provenance: Seller's parents, Kamma and Arne Andersson, who were posted in Moscow 1956 in connection with the opening of the new Scandinavian Airlines route Copenhagen-Moscow.

Condition

The paper has turned slightly brown. Examined in frame.
