A marble figure of a faun with female body, left hand raised holding a panpipe. The figure is assembled by several parts, head and torso is Roman while arms and lower part of legs are later, torso later reworked possibly from a relief. H. 66 cm.

Provenance: From the Manor Steensgaard, Funen, Denmark. The figure is from the collection of the Danish nobleman Preben Bille-Brahe, 1773–1858. He travelled to Italy around 1790s where he acquired antiquities and possibly also this figure, although it is not documented.
